Humble Brick Prototypes

The end goal of this research is to document the thermal, spatial, and material properties of housing in Tanzania. By integrating epidemiological findings with architectural data, this research will further explore the relationship between housing features and vector-borne diseases, particularly malaria. 

Over the coming years, there will be more in-depth research into the humble brick types and ways to integrate them into Tanzania’s housing construction system.

The brick projects are organized into different categories based on design concepts, including physics and natural ventilation, materials, water, and vegetation.
