HOUSE BIOGRAPHIES OF RURAL TANZANIA
We are collaborating with Ifakara Health Institute (ihi) to erect demonstrative houses in Dar es Salaam and Ifakara in Tanzania to find sustainable solutions for mosquito control in housing while increasing airflow and improving thermal comfort of the occupants.
Along with Prof. McCormick and Prof. Tempest, a group of seven students engaged in researching ten houses spanning across the cities of Dar es Salaam and Ifakara to further understand the role of housing in reducting malarai vectors. While researching, there were findings made regarding housing typologies and masonry and its materials.
